who lost his life at a race track. it took place at his middle school in santa rosa. he was in the pit at marysville race way on saturday when his cousin 17-year-old chase johnson lost control. his car slammed into a pit killing the 14-year-old and 68-year-old from grass valley. more on the victims and the crash. >> reporter: the start of the civil war sprint car series took a tragic turn at race way park saturday night. in a practice run, chase johnson seen here lost control. he watched the car leave the track. >> he must have been going 90 and there is not much you can do when the car is going that fast. >> he hit his cousin mar marcus johnson and also killed was 68-year-old from grass valley. they were at the penngrove home was the sign saying privacy to deal with the horrible tragedy. friends left flowers at muffler shop that the father owns here in santa rosa. 11-year-old michael is also an award sprint car driver. as a father his death has hit him hard. >> he was sweet kid, i know that his dad loved him very much. >> he was always nice and nice to talk to. >> michael said he is s

. constitutes at the middle school in santa rosa gathered last night to remember marcus johnson^. on saturday three was one of two in pit area at the raceway park killed by an out-of-control sprint car that was actually driven by his own cousin, 17-year-old chase johnson, a senior at petaluma high school. mourners noted the double tragedy for the johnson family. >> in first grade he would bring his race cars to school for events and it was fun to see. >> i cannot think of a worse tragedy. he and his cousin were as close as you could be. they raced the same raceway. >> the cause of the tragic crash is under investigation. some family members say the steering wheel came off. >> happening now, bart is taking a second look at the bicycle policy this week allowing bicycles on the trains at all times going this morning. the pilot program comes with a few restrictions. the first car of each train is off limits to bicycles. dug rush hour, no bicycles are allowed in the first three cars of the train. this test program runs this week only and ends on friday. abc7 news reporter will have more next half

in santa rosa and hayward at 56 and livermore is at 55. fairfield and los gatos are the warm spots at 60 and 62. today we will have a lot of high clouds but, city, mild temperatures with clouds keeping the temperature up but not so cool as this morning. the clouds will be thick enough tomorrow to bring the first rain. the storm system will come in two waves. it sounds impressive but it does not have the moisture. we will have the rest of the afternoon, mid-to-upper 60's in the south bay where san jose at 68 and mid-to-upper 60's on the peninsula, with millbrae the cool spot at 63. off the coast, you will be nearly 60. downtown, south san francisco and sausalito low-to-mid 60's. through the north bay, upper 60's to low 70's. back at the beaches, ten degrees cooler. on the east bay shore we have temperatures around 63 at hayward and castro valley to 66 in oakland and hercules and warmer in the east bay valley and san ramon valley in the upper 60's and highway four, temperatures are in the upper 60's to near 70. tonight, the clouds are going to be spreading all over the entire state, rather
